@Snowdays2024@Met4CastUK Thanks Rachel I’ve just upset myself reading some of the he comments on netweather where she used to post. Pretty gutted tbh as she gave me kick ups the backside when I needed it. Take care all ❤️
Incredibly sad to hear that Tamara has passed away.
Her knowledge on atmospheric physics was second to none and the vast majority of the stuff I talk about, AAM, MJO, wind-flow budgets etc is because she was kind enough to spend some time teaching me and answering my, probably rather stupid, questions with genuine patience and kindness.
She was a wonderful person and I wish I could have gotten to know her more than I did.
R.IP Tamara, thank you for everything.
@NorthBankVoice1 How can a response to an ssw be showing when the event as not even happened yet? Yes it may not play out favourably and it may even bring warmer conditions, but models can’t really pick up in an event until it’s actually taken place. The outlook is far from settled
@illgneralison It’s to early to say where parts of the PV end up during a split. We have to wait for the event to play out first before we can start to pick up the pieces.
