@NHSNLaG has some staffing challenges but some good improvements from 36 to 20 #cdiff cases per year. Why? #AMS audits, simplified #PPS, daily #poo list, 4 hour minimum to isolation. #NEY_AMR@UKHSA_YandH @YHAHSN
And BTW, much knowledge about orthopoxviruses in humans has been lost, and now talk of droplet and contact transmission. However, in the 1700s and 1800s smallpox was accepted a highly airborne. Likely MPX is too. https://t.co/AZjCs5jDxk
"Covid-19 is an airborne virus and good air hygiene is a crucial tool in managing its transmission."

No -Its the Irish Times
The Irish Times is currently more accurate than any UK IPC guidance/review
We don't want repeat infections
We don't know:
- when people start to be infectious
- who is highly infectious - ever
- the IAQ of where we are
We know its airborne & aerosols are densest when we are close to people
ERGO, HCWs don't need a risk assessment they need FFP3 & IAQ
@mjb302@EvonneTCurran@GuptaR_lab It's all a jumble. Would we want to share a bed with covid contacts where conversion rate high. Bed pressures remain despite downturn in covid cases. Winter will be mega interesting!
@mjb302@EvonneTCurran Agree. No doubt there will be a high rate of failed discharges to care homes due to sporadic positive pre discharge positive swabs.
@EvonneTCurran@mjb302 Both. Had HEPAs in for 2 yrs. Staff compliance with FFP3 out of Red zones now variable as most had C19 or cannot tolerate post infection.
