#BREAKING#Serbia JUST IN: Photo from Novi Sad, Serbia, as students and supporters from across the country gather ahead of tomorrow’s protests marking one year since the deadly canopy collapse at the renovated train station that killed 16 people.
In Serbia, a line has been crossed. A 23-year-old student, Pavle Cicvarić, has been indirectly threatened with death on national TV: a senior official from President Vučić’s ruling SNS party suggested his fellow students might kill him to provoke outrage. Such words are not a slip — they are reckless threats that put a young life in danger.
A government must protect its citizens, not pour fuel on the fire of division and fear. President Vučić has the duty to act: that official must be dismissed today. Anything less means complicity.
In 6 months the situation in Serbia further deteriorated with now severe - both official and unofficial government sanctioned - protesters repression as a low point.
Stop the ‘dear Aleksandar’ appeasement and stand by those asking for transparency, rule of law and democracy.
I welcomed young people who ran 2000km from Serbia to Brussels today.
Through this powerful gesture, they delivered the message of democracy & civic engagement.
We welcome their direction: towards Brussels, towards Europe. Because my vision is to bring all 🇷🇸 people into the 🇪🇺
Serbian security forces illegally used military-grade sonic weapons against protesters in Belgrade
Police deployed the LRAD cannon — an acoustic weapon that emits a targeted “beam” of sound at volumes up to 160 dB.
Victims experience sharp ear pain, disorientation, and panic. Prolonged exposure can cause eardrum ruptures and irreversible hearing damage.
A silent revolution is happening in Serbia but nobody is talking about it.
It is for justice and against corruption.
It is for peace and against the violence.
It is for the people and against the system.
Please share this and send it to everyone you know 🙏🙏🙏
Znam da vas zaboli ćošak zbog ovoga, ali ovo je još jedan atak ne samo na pisce i umjetnost, nego na inteligenciju uopšte. Zaglupljivanje na novom nivou. I da ponovim:
Postoji lakši put i ispravan put.
Mada pošto svakako nije sletanje u pitanju, možda to nije ni toliko bitno.
Komplet lepinja 🇷🇸 is the best breakfast in the world in 2023. View complete TasteAtlas Awards 23/24 lists: https://t.co/98RF2YMTjp
This delicacy consists of a traditional flatbread (lepinja) that is cut in half, coated in thick cream (kajmak), and topped with an egg. The combination is shortly baked and should be doused with a mixture of warm meat drippings, which is locally known as pretop.
Although it is nutritious and highly caloric, the dish is commonly enjoyed for breakfast and is best paired with a glass of yogurt or sour milk on the side. For the most authentic experience, it is recommended to eat it with your hands.
