@lemonmilkdrops I'm not trying to deminish your personal experiences. I think there are reasons to prefer America. As someone from the sf bay area I think it's much more welcoming there than here. But I also find that the type of hatred here is easier to brush off for some people

@lemonmilkdrops The college thing is a different matter. Japan is not kind to foreign workers in general and it's infinitely worse if you lack a degree. I have a very close friend dealing with that and their paths are just so severely limited

The eat up a shit load of water and they tend to replace meadows which has been directly linked to declining bee populations. Not making assumptions about where this is but gardens with nonnative plants can have similar issues

@jake_gotta I went there and if iirc the school has some weird restrictions around that land due to it being a reserve or something. I might be wrong about the reserve but I know there was a legitimate reason why they couldnt put anything there
