@mariofusco On top of that, I can mention very few 50+ mins talks that I enjoyed. Yours at codemotion Milan in 2014 (FP) was probably 1hr and is one of those. I see your point about Q&A, that was a chance for you to go even deeper on some concepts
@mariofusco Given same speaker and same quality of content, I prefer and process better 30mins talks. The goal is to go deep on the right things, not everything, and that becomes quickly challenging for passionate speakers
@GergelyOrosz Knowing the arch inside out is non-negotiable to me, not a choice. Managers that are exclusively people managers are unlikely to stay relevant
@GergelyOrosz Unless you manage managers or multiple teams (12-15+ reports), I believe you need to find the time to write code to be an effective managers. If you're transitioning to a senior/director role, smart (targeted) pair programming and code reviews are the most effective practices imo
