📖 "Meta-Analysing the Factor Structure and Reliability of Measurement Instruments: An R-Based Tutorial"
BREAKING: MIT just completed the first brain scan study of ChatGPT users & the results are terrifying.
Turns out, AI isn't making us more productive. It's making us cognitively bankrupt.
Here's what 4 months of data revealed:
(hint: we've been measuring productivity all wrong)

📖 "Meta-Analysing the Factor Structure and Reliability of Measurement Instruments: An R-Based Tutorial"
Meta-analysis (n=52 studies, 195 effect sizes) confirms the incubation effect: taking breaks away from a problem leads to more creative solutions (d=0.39)

The informal poll results are in, & as I feared, most people are running ANOVAs in #R with functions that can give highly misleading (or flat out wrong) results. Follow along to see why using anova() and aov() is usually inadvisable & why you should be using car::Anova() 🧵
The univariate approach dominates meta-analytic structural equation modeling (#MASEM). Suzanne Jak and I showed that the standard errors and test statistics are highly biased. We also showed better methods to do it.

Happy to be presenting my work on work breaks and rumination at the @ea_ohp conference tomorrow at 8:30am, Alpujarra room! Don’t miss it! I will be discussing about why workers think about work related issues during their breaks, as well as the implications of these thoughts.
Happy to have presented our work on mindfulness with @villalonfj at the @ea_ohp conference in Granada! It compared a MF intervention to an equivalent one! The conclusion: MF intervention improves WB in the long term! Benefits of other interventions fade over time…
That’s it! What I’ve learned is that—perhaps unlike MTurkers—Prolific participants want to be treated as collaborators in science, not only as workers who get paid by the minute. My studies will look different from now on, and I hope you found this thread useful 😊 9/9
