A few weeks ago, a tweet popped up on my timeline: "It's almost 2026, why can't I convert a file by just changing its extension?"
Meet Consul – the file converter you'll forget you have.
@expo inline native modules seem super cursed, yet somehow super cool, too. haven't had much use for Expo Modules yet, maybe that'll change it – excited to play with this!
@hirbod Thanks, appreciated! :) You mean expensive as in system resources? Not much at all. The system sends these filesystem events anyway, the app just listens for them. The processing of them is pretty lightweight, plus it’s all native Swift.

@hirbod@X Doesn’t X do reverse charge? In this case, an invoice shouldn’t be needed for Vorsteuerabzug (it’s a different UStG paragraph). Not a tax advisor, so take this with a grain of salt. I agree "historical invoice archives" are stupid, though. I've seen others providers do the same.
@mrousavy not only a crypto stealer, it's a full-blown infostealer & backdoor. with that payload alone there's more than 100 repos affected. no day without a JS supply-chain attack i guess
@mrousavy I'm porting our frame processors to VisionCamera v5 right now and touching Nitro for the first time in the process. Always wary of additional dependencies, but Nitro is honestly *amazing* to work with, especially thanks to Nitrogen. Well deserved :)
@mrousavy Are Skia Frame Processors still coming? Asking for a friend who can't see them in the repo yet (amazing work so far btw, really excited to try this in more detail)
