it's just the first step..

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@TomLeeTracker @FundstratDirect A lot of that money won't hit markets right away. Heirs often sit on it for a while, or use it to pay off houses first.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@Abdul_basham Setting up the family office with your brothers is the easy bit. Deciding who gets the final say when you disagree is what keeps it together.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@markcecchini Doing it early is what made it work. Same move after the value hit $10B would've cost a fortune in gift tax.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@davidsenra @BenWilsonTweets Tough part comes later. A company built by someone that obsessed usually ends up run by kids who never had the same hunger.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@KurtSupeCPA The inherited retirement account is the one that surprises people. Ten years of forced withdrawals landing right in the kids' peak earning years.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@thealepalombo Clearly, this is clickbait with outdated data (up to 2000); southern Italy is barely bearable in summer now, like the other countries mentioned here. "Harsh" countries are becoming good now

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@Renovatio_News @MrFamilyOffice from experience (personal and my clients) there is no real added value to work with a private bank(er). most of them are "has been" and the new generation won't be as loyal as before to their banker

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@awealthofcs Same here. Bonds felt pointless for years. Getting paid a real yield to wait changes how the whole portfolio feels.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@money_cruncher True. Most families spend more time picking a car than deciding who'd run the money if something happened to them.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@PeterMallouk Wild stat. Guessing the rate move rarely beats just staying invested and not selling into the headlines.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@MebFaber So true. By the time something looks cheap, everyone you know has a story about losing money on it.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@financialsamura Fair point. I'd still keep that bet separate from the money the family actually needs to live on.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@romainprieur Ce qui sera regardé par le fisc, c’est la fréquence du trading, la proportion « tradée » par rapport à la fortune et aux revenus, l’utilisation fréquente d’effets de levier ou d’autres instruments.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@PeterMallouk Agree. Same reason a family shouldn't treat one operating company as if it were forever. The holdings rotate whether you plan for it or not.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@danprimack Makes sense when fundraising slows. The recruiting desk is easy to cut until you suddenly need the next senior hire yesterday.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@money_cruncher True. A Roth sitting in cash for years misses the point. The wrapper only helps if you actually invest the money.

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@MebFaber Agree. What matters is what you keep after tax. A lot of that 10- 12% looks thinner once you actually run it. it's gonna be ugly very soon...

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@nabendu82 @X I woud really hate to reply to a post to engage with someone

[Maxi Capitalist @MaxiCapitalist]

@nabendu82 @X I still don't see the point to reply
