I paid into National Insurance all my working life in order to receive a pension which I was told I would receive at the age of 60yrs.
This was changed to 67yrs as we were told they couldn’t afford it any longer.
What really annoys me though is that they have managed to find the money for 100,000s of people to live free in Hotels all expenses paid & others claiming benefits when these people have not paid a penny into this country.
This is what is not right or fair.
Why should we be paying anything when others are getting everything for free
This country is a joke as they should be looking after the people that pay their way & always have.
Please retweet, CONVICTED | Stephanie Murphy, 35, from West #Derby, #Liverpool#L12#UK – left her family dog to starve to death in a filthy, abandoned house, turning a blind eye to the dying dog's suffering on return visits - AVOIDS JAIL‼️‼️
The female boxer-type dog, Cassie (pictured), was found dead at the abandoned home of mother-of-two Stephanie Murphy on September 20 2023.
Prosecutor Tara Thomas told the court: “At approximately 2pm, a call was made to police by staff from the defendant’s children’s school, raising concerns for their safety as they hadn’t attended school for two days.
“Police attended and found the deceased dog in the hallway. No persons were located inside. The deceased dog was located; he was extremely thin and was not breathing.”
She said a post-mortem revealed the dog had been starved to death. An attending police officer said the house was “in bad upkeep” and no food had been left out for the dog, and his dog bowl was empty.
In a police interview, Murphy stated that she did not intend to cause harm to the dog. When asked if she knew the dog would die when she abandoned him, she said: “Yes, but it wasn’t intentional. It wasn’t on purpose”.
Ms Thomas said the boxer had endured “prolonged suffering which had resulted in death”, and that the offence was aggravated by the fact that Murphy had returned to the house “and despite seeing the (dog’s) condition, the dog was still left and was not fed”.
Georgia Maudsley, defending, told the court her client had “suffered a mental breakdown [and] bereavements in her family, her relationship broke down. She felt fearful to be in her own home and fled to her mother’s address, and her mother did not want the dog in her home.
“Her poor mental health at the time has clearly impacted her thinking skills. She states she was simply existing at the time and not thinking due to her poor mental health. The home was very unkempt and unclean and it shows how her mental state was at the time.”
Murphy pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
Judge Paul Healey said: “It must have taken days, weeks, for the dog to become emaciated and eventually die. The dog died as a result of the neglect caused by you. It went on for a period of weeks where you could have taken action to alleviate the suffering of the dog, but you chose not to.
“Sadly you have lost family members, your relationship had come to an end, and the events of your personal life led to you losing the ability to live life as you normally would do and provide for the dog’s needs.
“I accept at the time you were suffering from your mental health, but I struggle to understand why that prevented you from simply picking up a phone to get some help. You had every opportunity to speak to the RSPCA or somebody to say you were struggling to look after the dog, but you didn’t do so.”
Sentencing | 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months; 80 hours of unpaid work.
Banned from owning animals for just six years‼️

Please retweet, CONVICTED | Stacey Scott, 48, from #Blackpool#FY1#LANCASHIRE#UK – allowed her dog to endure weeks of suffering - AVODS JAIL‼️‼️
RIP 🐶🌈
Bull breed Milo was found with bleeding wounds and hair loss when he was removed from Stacey Scott on welfare grounds by a local authority dog warden in October 2024.
RSPCA Inspector Carl Larsson subsequently visited Scott at her home, when she agreed to sign over Milo.
During interview Scott said Milo’s skin had looked sore for about a month but he had always had a “sad” face.
She admitted she should have taken the dog to a vet, but said he had never been seen by one as she didn’t have the means to do so.
In a statement to the court a vet said that Milo had muscle wastage on his hind legs and was given a body condition score of 3/9.
The vet added: “His fur and coat was in generally poor condition with patches of alopecia apparent. All over there was dermatitis, with open areas that were bleeding upon examination.
“Both eyes were partially closed with discharge present bilaterally. The skin around the eyes was inflamed and swollen.
“Both ears were inflamed, red, narrowed and showed signs of infection deep in both canals.”
The vet added: “I am certain this dog had suffered both pain and distress. The skin condition could have been diagnosed and treated at a much earlier stage if he had been taken to a veterinary surgeon and saved him weeks of suffering.
“The dog will have been in a great deal of pain with his skin and this could have been prevented if appropriate veterinary attention had been given sooner.
Milo received ongoing care for a number of health issues but sadly his condition did not improve in the weeks that followed and he was put to sleep.
Scott pleaded guilty to one offence contrary to the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Speaking after the sentencing hearing Inspector Larsson said: “There were many obvious signs of ill health which should have prompted Scott to seek veterinary advice.
‘Most noticeable was Milo’s chronic skin condition which had caused substantial fur loss and open wounds where he had bitten and scratched himself.
“There was discharge coming from both eyes and his ears in particular were sensitive to touch.
“Any reasonably competent owner would have sought the appropriate veterinary care for these issues but Scott failed to do what was right by her dog and he suffered as a result.”
Sentencing | 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work; costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £114. 15-year ban applicable to all animals but can appeal after 10 years.

Labour have spent £6.6 BILLION of UK taxpayers’ money on 'free gifts' for illegal migrants.
I can't believe we live in a country where we spend BILLIONS on tennis lessons for illegals, but scrap the £1.4bn Winter Fuel Allowance for our pensioners.
It's frankly disgusting.

Rachel Reeves has just said she is scrapping the winter fuel allowance for pensioners not in receipt of any benefits. This means that hundreds of thousands of pensioners who gets few £ over the limit for benefits will struggle even more. What next scrapping the triple lock?
They've been in power days and already stopped the winter fuel allowance for Pensioners, who now have to fund another £600 per year for overpriced rip off energy.
