@EquallyFern@cccc29c@orzecs@aymeinstein I see what you're getting at but I think a) silent ladder is movement and b) a new player is no more likely to discover and abuse air strafing than they are to discover and abuse silent ladder
@EquallyFern@cccc29c@orzecs@aymeinstein Maybe you do support removing air strafing and the many other unintended bugs/features that fit this mold, but most people agree that CS's engine quirks contribute greatly to the skill ceiling and are a big part of its appeal
@EquallyFern@cccc29c@orzecs@aymeinstein Re: "Silent ladder is a clear bug..."
Gaining speed while air strafing wasn't intended either. Is this a bug too? If not, then why's it different? If it is a bug, then your argument seems to support removing it: it's a bug that you can't abuse without knowledge of it
@EquallyFern@cccc29c@orzecs@aymeinstein Re: "A knowledge check is not a core skill"
If you couldn't pass basic knowledge checks you'd be unable to play the game. Passing increasingly advanced knowledge checks is a huge part of improving. How you define a core skill if not something that's required to play or improve?
