#MotorowyTwitter
Doing 2 or more “exercise snacks” per day can boost VO₂ max by 5–17%.
VO₂ max, or maximal oxygen uptake, is one of the strongest predictors of longevity and overall health. Yet, nearly 40% of people who perform 150–300 minutes per week of moderate exercise fail to improve it. However, shifting intensity to vigorous efforts consistently elevates VO₂ max.
A recent meta-analysis found that short (5 minutes or less), moderate-to-vigorous efforts done throughout the day (2–10 times) improved aerobic fitness and muscular endurance in middle-aged and older adults.
These gains came with minimal time, just 5–65 minutes of total exercise per week (that's 3–5 times lower than current physical activity guidelines). However, body composition, strength, and blood lipids didn’t improve, likely requiring more training and/or dietary changes.
Even if you already work out regularly (and especially if you don’t), adding exercise snacks to your day may be a powerful, evidence-backed way to increase cardiorespiratory fitness and healthspan.
@LewyDoPrawegoo Mało kontrowersyjne te odpowiedzi. Więc może:
1. Tomczyk jest dobrym dyrektorem sportowym.
2. Wlaźlik powinien zostać.
3. Czubak jest lepszy niż Mraz.
4. Wolski nie powinien być kapitanem.
5. Szkoda, że nie ma Rudola.
Israeli football fans have issued an outrageous slur on Poland. Here are the facts to set the record straight.
Send this on.
During World War II, more than six million Polish citizens died. Three million were Polish Jews, part of a thriving community that had found refuge in Poland for centuries against Russian pogroms. The rest? Non Jewish Poles.
Unlike every other European nation under Nazi occupation, Poland never had an SS unit created. There was no Polish quisling government cooperating with the Germans.
Poland had the largest resistance movement in occupied Europe and was the first to inform the outside world of the Holocaust - warnings that were ignored by the Allies.
There are thousands of examples of Poles risking their lives to save Jewish people during the war. This is why Poles are the largest group recognised as Righteous Among the Nations at Yad Vashem.
I was honoured to meet one of them, Józef Walaszczyk, who saved more than 50 Polish Jews through extraordinary bravery. His story is recorded on my YouTube series, The Price of Life.
Yes, there was anti-Semitism in Poland before, during, and after the war, but to suggest that Poles had any hand in orchestrating the Holocaust is a gross distortion of history - an insult to a nation that suffered horrendously under Nazi rule and to those who stood against genocide at the cost of their lives.
The truth matters.
Pass it on.
