Great read in #ScientificAmerican about our latest work!
I am extremely honored and happy, especially since Dina was the first person who showed me how to lock a laser
Big thanks @dinkazavr for writing this beautiful text and big thanks to all the authors!! @Martin_Cordier_
Very excited about this story featuring work by a former intern in my lab @MaxSchemmer. The basic quantum physics of a single atom scattering laser light is counterintuitive and fascinating! Also thanks to Jean Dalibard, @fplaussy and @MagdalenaStobi1 https://t.co/wXXDNLXm2f
Here a teaser on how gravitational time dilation can be measures over the size of an atomic cloud (millimetre scale)

Raising questions such as: what is the proper time of a clock that has a size in its own.

Don’t miss the chance to follow the seminar of our technical group by Prof. Jun Ye on optical clocks for fundamental physics.

3/ Our new idea was to move the quantum state, instead of physically moving the atoms in tweezers. And to make this happen, we used counterintuitive concepts from mathematical physics—topology.
7/ After many years abroad, I was very touched to hear people in the corridor speaking about quantum stuff with the most beautiful dialect and melody. 🥰
2/ How did we get there? 🤔 When I met Beatriz Olmos at a conference in Barcelona, we realized that it might be possible to combine her results with my Master thesis work from NIST in 2015.
1/ I am extremely happy to share our latest publication in @quantumjournal ! 🎉 In this work, we introduce a new concept for transporting quantum states in arguably the hottest computing platforms: Rydberg atoms in optical tweezers.

Prof. #C_Koch led the Physics Department @HumboldtUni with dedication for the last 4 years. Huge thanks for his fantastic work! 👏
Starting today, Prof. #N_Koch, also a member of @CSMB_HU, will take over as director.
Excited to work together! 🎉

Part 4: The crème de la crème.
As promised earlier this year (part 1 here https://t.co/8fbPOgeKAv), we collect the best snippets of our paper that the Royal Society published today. A fast way to read the paper: https://t.co/6MSA2mDBNe
The anti wind power narrative based on the fact that birds are killed is based on facts but it’s still totally stupid. Outlaw cats instead.
