Our Post Doc, Jason, has designed and converted a manual resuscitator into an automatic ventilator as per the request of Dr. Bruno Gino. The purpose of the ventilator is to act as a temporary solution when a normal ventilator is not available. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
A family of mechanical ventilators is under quick development at Ontario Tech with promising test results to support the health care systems in fighting against COVID-19. They are designed for rapid production worldwide, using widely available manufacturing tools and 3D printing.

The opening plenary for day 1 of the #SimSummit19 started with the first Director of National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, Ry Moran. He spoke to us about systemic bias within our health care systems and society toward Indigenous peoples of Canada.
