@eevblog I think it is to clearly explain how the bytes are counted, the SI way versus the IEC way, as Microsoft has used SI prefixes with IEC increments for too long and caused too many confusions.

@Casperhooo 必竟苹果的核心是艺术，对于排版、美工、音乐这一块一直很上心的。

@Casperhooo 这算是系统底层。这能改的了，只要打包一个打了质量补丁的libjpeg就可以。但是就和之前的freetype排版库踩到苹果AAT专利，优化libjpeg也有可能会踩到苹果的专利。

@Casperhooo 前几代NV显卡的NVENC H.264视频硬件编码在同等码率下远比CPU编码画质要明显差一大截，就是因为当时NV硬件H.264实现有问题。这里也是同理，安卓JPEG编码器没调教好。

@Casperhooo 编码器实现细节里面存在很多小参可以调节，算法细节可以优化，不同JPEG实现的调教不太一样。这种有损压缩算法，在一样的压缩率（质量/比特率）要求下损失掉什么样的细节是一门学问。

@Casperhooo 安卓估计都动不了上游开源项目。不排除谷歌和其他手机厂商提交的改进补丁已经堆成山，项目维护者却在摆烂。

@huihui9527 @kokdemo 这也难说。华为是纯私人企业，道德觉悟完全取决于老板个人。长江存储是国有控股，决策流程多少不太一样。

@zackfreedman I think the concept of metaverse is better accepted in places like China and Japan, where the existing anime culture is strong, and “virtual live streamer” is a thing.
