@jesx64 @MalditoMP@pokeghosst Yeah, I guess that's the cost of customizability. Gnome is probably the best DE in regard of consistency.
Also as a fun fact Gnome is more interesting for Businesses because of manageability
@alexuxxxxx@nixcraft I totally understand your pov but in my experience this isnt an issue with well tested Distributions and standard setups (no edge cases or special customization). My grandparents have a Fedora which survived two major upgrades without any problems
@GloriousEggroll Yes it really hurts, in the meantime I got a bit of a feeling which game settings are best to keep VRAM Usage low but still. Ready or Not for example is unplayable for me on Linux because of this...
@GloriousEggroll No, this is the issue, usually you should have twice as much total RAM than dedicated. I found this which explains it quite good but it also shows that we're probably out of luck https://t.co/o0li3MrTHf
@GloriousEggroll I tbh don't think that this is a Nobara issue but unfortunately a nvidia driver problem, but who knows maybe there is something a user could do...
You should be able to check with glxinfo -B and then dedicated vs total memory
@shahzadahmad246 Wow, I love how many people are switching currently. Just one thing, the beginning might be hard, some programs might not work but in the end there's basically always an alternative you can get familiar with.
It's a longer process until you really feel home but it's worth it
