🚨Israel has formally objected to three provisions in the Board of Peace approved roadmap for Gaza, including demands that would allow it to continue striking the territory, prevent Hamas’s collected weapons from remaining under the NCAG’s control, and exclude Qatar and Turkey from verifying compliance, Haaretz reported.

🔸 Continued Israeli attacks:
Israel is demanding continued freedom to carry out strikes across Gaza even after the agreement takes effect. A source familiar with the matter told Haaretz that “Israel demands freedom to strike areas of the Gaza Strip.”

The Associated Press separately reported Sunday that Israel was seeking continued freedom to strike and conduct military operations in Gaza under the agreement.

🔸 Control of collected weapons:
Israel is also demanding that weapons surrendered by Hamas be destroyed. Under the roadmap reportedly approved by Hamas, the weapons would be collected but remain in the custody of the Board of Peace-backed National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, or NCAG.

🔸 Excluding Qatar and Turkey:
Israel wants Qatar and Turkey barred from the verification mechanism that would determine whether each party has fulfilled its obligations before the roadmap moves to its next stage.

The agreement calls for the Board of Peace to create an International Verification Committee expected to include representatives from mediator states.

➤ Israel conveyed the three objections Thursday to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a member of the organization’s Gaza Executive Board, according to a diplomatic official cited by Haaretz.
