Especially given the fact that when on orders you typically have to bring a lot of stuff. In my case, I’m on the road for 16 weeks straight with my wife. This isn’t pleasure travel, it’s mandated by the United States government.
@AlaskaAir question. Every other major airline that the US military flies with has a 5 bag 100 pound (each) weight limit on checked bags free of charge when on orders. You are the only airline that has 70 pounds, which is also a new policy. Curious as to your reasoning.
Most people are too emotional for investing. Just buy etfs such as $VOO, $SCHD, $VUG, $IWY, $VTI and chill. Assuming you don't need the money for >than a few years, it's almost guaranteed you will come out ahead.
