@sanditoksvig Just watched Sandi's Wood and I loved it! I live in the states and didn't know anything about Britain's ancient woods. Wishing there was more information to dig into, but nothing on your wiki page or links to affiliated organizations from your website.
Want to take a minute to recognize the sheer athleticism of the camera person who is running WITH A CAMERA RIG beside an Olympic Gold medalist! Love to see that dude on a podium.

@Spirit29@wkufan92@NashSevereWx Plus, *based on my armchair reading of earlier tweets and posts*, one neighborhood could get nothing while another gets a significant amount. Bottom line: it's going to be slick, difficult to travel in many places and the ingredients are there for a rapid change to serious snow.
@microecos@Spirit29@NashSevereWx Well, this just upped my scrabble game! "Helveticosaurus is known from a nearly complete holotype which includes the premaxilla, maxilla, prefrontal, postfrontal, postorbital, squamosal, dentary and a postcranial skeleton."
@Spirit29@NashSevereWx Fact. Important questions were raised. Did the med student do well in class? What kind of paleontological work happens in Zurich? Where do I purchase a bathroom chandelier?Could any of them solve a quadratic equation sober? Edge of my seat.
@NashSevereWx #1: I'm clearly not attending the right parties.
#2: Bathroom chandeliers? Is this a thing?
#3: Somehow this was entertaining, informative, artsy and a little bit dada.
#4: Thank you.
@NashSevereWx @iowajustin @NWSNashville This frustrates me. Different regions and climates react very differently to the "same" weather.
The amount of rain Nashville gets in a typical summer thunderstorm would prob be insane in a desert or arid climate. 85 is like mild summer here, but an issue in the arctic.
@NashSevereWx@NWSNashville Am I correct in think that one of the complications of such cold weather with this level of snowfall is: anything which was salted or plowed returns to a solid icy state shortly after "melting"? Like, maybe a salt plow and some cars melted the path, but then the cold zaps it?
@NashSevereWx Got 6 5/16" over in East near Riverside and Eastland. Snow started falling again after i finally geared up so we might be able to boost that to 3/8" by now. (Ruler idiosyncrasies lead to the 5/16" level accuracy - 5/16" gap at bottom.)
@NashSevereWx Is it possible to get a quick refresher on the snowdome / dry air monster? (And their implications?) Was searching for a NashSevereWx glossary and tried wading through old posts, but there's a lot out there.
@boardingbetty14 @Sleeperpolitic1 @NashSevereWx Keep in mind southern infrastructure is *mostly* focused on weather occuring the greater majority of the year: heat and rain. We have like 3 salt trucks and maybe some insulated piping, but the roads and buildings don't *love* snow and ice. Less snow <> less problematic.
