SACCOs play a vital role in advancing financial inclusion, promoting savings, and empowering communities at the grassroots.
Today, I hosted @HonWetangula for an empowerment drive in support of BUCOE SACCO at St. Francis Milima Comprehensive School in Sango Ward.
Also present were Farouk Kibet, MPs Hon. Tindi Mwale (Butere), Hon. Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Hon. David Ndakwa (Malava), and MCAs led by Hon. Kennedy Lutilo.
We remain committed to empowering our students through our bursary programme to ensure every child gets an opportunity to pursue their education.
Today, I joined H.E Governor FCPA @BarasaFernandes during the issuance of bursaries to schools in Likuyani Sub-County at St. Peters' Moi'sbridge Girls Secondary School. The governor also graced the school Annual General Meeting and Prize Giving Day.
This education support complements the Likuyani NG-CDF bursaries that we disbursed last month, where 120 students from the school benefited.
Our continued investment in education is yielding positive results, reflected in the increase enrollment to senior secondary schools, increased direct university entry grades, and improved overall academic performance in our constituency.
At Matunda S.A Secondary School, we are constructing a modern administration block complete with a student library and computer lab through utilization of NG-CDF, to enhance the learning environment.

You used to have passion, believe for big things, but doors have closed. You went through setbacks. Now you’ve lost who you are. The good news is you can get your identity back. Start seeing yourself how God sees you.

I just finished watching the over 5 hrs. interview of @SafaricomPLC CEO Peter Ndegwa with the CTA media team and all I can say is that we are living mediocre lives out here. The Ndegwa's of this world run the show.
Peter Ndegwa says that Safaricom has 50M subscribers in Kenya and over 10M in Ethiopia.
He adds that Mpesa moves over 50% of the country's GDP and makes over 75M USD - a quarter a billion USD worth of transactions a day.
Peter confirms that Kenyans execute over 150M transactions in a day. To put this into context, to make you the hollo polloi understand is that if Safaricom or Ndegwa decides to illegaly charge you an extra 0.5 KES for every transaction made today, the least he could go home with is 75M KES and you wouldn't know because there is no way on earth you would realise you have been charged and extra 50 cents.
Bwana, Safaricom is big. The largest conglomerate in East and Central Africa and now you know why.
One thing I learnt about Ndegwa during the whole interview is that he is very immune or makes himself immune to flattery. The host tried in many ways to flatter him but all the time he diverted. I mean you can not fake this shit. You need levels to be where that man is.
Inspiring.

The best advice I have received in a long time from a person I respect dearly.
‘We have a vision whose road map we are creating on a path that is unexplored previously. We are meandering through the bends and striding through the valleys and hills covered with thickets and rocks. In the process, there is the likelihood of getting lost or injured. The way out is to get up, get the right directions, be patient and resilient and move on to the destination.’
