@GusFowler Spending time with Americans I'm always amazed at the absolutely wild bullshit that they accept as normal. Guns everywhere, spending nearly your rent again in health insurance that barely covers anything, "voter registration" and lines at the polls. Completely fucked.

The material the judge had like the psych report could be, but more likely would only be prior statements a witness could be examined on. There's just not much here.

It isn't about him, the judge drew no legal conclusions about him, he wasn't a participant in the proceedings. I'd think any diligent reporter would understand this.

@Nick_Decap @IRPlawyer @poliwatchbc @adamzivo @guyfelicella Sentencing judges can receive information that would ordinarily be inadmissible and accept mitigating facts on a balance of probabilities. It's not the same thing as a trial. The judge accepted that something like this probably happened, with enough confidence to cut her a break.

@verymetalspg @threefiveorzer0 @ColinDMello When drivers don't follow the law they kill people. When cyclists don't follow the law on the road, drivers kill people (often the cyclist in question). When cyclists don't follow the law by riding on the sidewalk nothing bad happens except weird guys like you get mad.
