This morning, a landmine exploded in Guda Pyin (Guam Fara) village, Buthidaung Township.
Mohammed Salim, 36, a Rohingya villager, was seriously injured and is in critical condition.

It takes a remarkable courage and creativity to stage this kind of demonstration in Yangon, where one could get rammed by SAC thugs or shot by the murderous soldiers. Kudos to the protest leaders.

34 years ago today, I witnessed the brutality of the Myanmar military. Dozens of students & civilians were shot to death near my home in Thamaing, Yangon. Until now, no justice for martyrs.

The mother of Ko Aung Thura Zaw, recently executed, was arrested by the #MyanmarMilitaryTerrorists on July 26th.
