Pakistan has officially gained permission to export potatoes from Punjab to Russia, marking a major milestone for its agricultural sector.

The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance lifted restri_ctions that had been in place since May 2025.

Initially, three Pakistani exporters—Chase International, Zahid Kinnow Grinding and Waxing Plant, and National Fruit—are approved to send potatoes to Russia.

With a bumper crop estimated at 12 million tons, this opens a vital international market. TDAP and Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company are facilitating virtual B2B meetings to help more exporters enter the Russian market.
