These are the beautiful young ladies that make P-MUS tick.
Lovely to spend time after 3 months away from them and at the same time celebrate my birthday mate amongst them.
Good morning Distinguished NEC Members and NARDites,
The NARD Leadership is currently engaging the CCMDs/MDs of FTHIs and other relevant stakeholders with regards the following issues:-
1. The National Work Hour and Excess Work Regulation Policy
2. The National Locum Regulation Policy
3. Submission of Salary and Promotion Arrears (not captured in batch 7, 8, 9) of previous years to the BOF
Of particular note are:-
- Areas of implementation and especially questions about monitoring and remuneration for excess work done.
- Questions emanating from units of call done per month.
- Other critical areas of Implementation and Monitoring
Three things:
1. This National policy has provided additional strength and the legal justification for the ‘EXCESS WORKLOAD ALLOWANCE’ currently being discussed in the CBA.
2. This National policy also has justified the need for the review of the units of call in terms of hours and remuneration of each unit.
3. These two New National Policies just gave life to many aspects of the CBA currently being discussed.
As agreed during our engagement with the CoS to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and captured in the resolutions of the meeting, the CBA is set to conclude soon.
While we call for calm and understanding, we point out that there is No Cause for Alarm!
A sit down is scheduled in the first week of September with the CCMDs/MDs of FTHIs and other critical stakeholders to digest this matter and revert back to the NEC of NARD.
Rest assured, The NARD Leadership shall continue to pursue all areas of interest on this matter and urge members to continue to reach out for any clarification required.
Special appreciation to the NMA Leadership, ably led by Prof. Ernest Afekhide Omoti, the MDCAN Leadership and the Leadership of the CCMDs/MDs of FTHIs for the support and guidance during this period of National excitement for our Health-Sector.
Yours in Excitement,
P-MUS of NARD

I had no electoral deal or partnership with the ADC before, during, or after the governorship election.
The credit for our victory goes to God Almighty and the good people of Osun State for their overwhelming support and re-election.
For the sake of history, it is important to clarify that the ADC was never part of the rainbow coalition that canvassed, mobilised, and supported our campaign in the battle leading to last Saturday’s election.
I commend all our political partners who sacrificed, worked tirelessly, and went all out to make Saturday a victory day for all Osun people. Their commitment and support were instrumental to our success.
Now that the election is over, I remain the Governor of all Osun people, irrespective of political affiliation, religion, or tribe. My commitment is to unite our people and continue working for the progress and prosperity of Osun State.
This was in August 2024 when i was contesting for the NARD Secretariat.
Grateful for the journey thus far.
As my time as NARD President draws to an end, it is my greatest wish and desire that i have not disappointed anyone in anyway.
For those (and the causes) our tenure has helped, ALLAH SWT be praised.
For those i have offended, or my team has offended, i am humbly and genuinely asking for your forgiveness or at least your understanding.
My wish for all of you is greatness from the Almighty on all aspects of your lives.
Not that i think people care cos it is only when it is time to drag or sue a Doctor or withdraw his license for nothing, that people start to appear…….
but i am posting here regardless, cos this one pains me, each time a colleague dies, i feel it deeply.
Dear Mentors, Teachers, Leaders, Colleagues, Friends, Family and Loved ones,
06-08-2026 will forever be etched in my memory.
You all stood still for a moment to celebrate me.
Those moments from you, added up, became an avalanche of emotions and happiness for me.
It came from your hearts, and it drowned me in so much HEARTS
I felt SEEN,
I felt SAFE,
I felt LOVED,
I felt APPRECIATED,
I felt all VALIDATIONS,
I felt my CONVICTIONS strengthened,
I felt HONORED,
I even felt ADORED,
Above all,
I FELT PROTECTED by you all.
“…..Word after word,
Phrase after phrase,
Sentence after sentence,
Paragraph after paragraph,
Message after message,
Call after call,
Voice note after voice note,
Gift after Gift….”
You all filled my day with warmth, my heart with joy, and my soul with happiness and fulfillment.
Leadership rests tough decisions on many shoulders with their attendant consequences; constantly reflecting on how to be better is one of the hallmarks of great leadership.
In the last few months, I have had to make many tough decisions, and I kept reflecting on whether they were all worth it.
Yesterday was a LOUD YES. It was ALL WORTH IT.
-Permit me to rightly and justly share the accolades with Members of my NOC and the CP, e-NOC, NEC Members, Past NARD Leaders and every NARDite across the Country.
-Permit me also to thoroughly appreciate those who guided and directed events (and especially the last 11 months), without whom we may not have been here. These include our Elders in the Profession, including the leadership of NMA, Elders and Leaders within Government cycles.
I know how much I have relied on the influence and inputs of the above two groups.
But perhaps my greatest appreciation goes to my lovely wife and beautiful daughters, who supported me fully, endured all my absences, and still show me unconditional love and respect.
Thank you all.
I hope my next year (and many years to come) will be even more fruitful for our profession, colleagues, and country.

Speaking of breast and breast milk; it's meant for 'babies'!!!
Whether I'm a baby or not is a discussion for another day.
Happy world breastfeeding week🤗
TIME FOR ACTION: SAVE NIGERIA'S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), under the leadership of *Dr. Mohammad Usman Suleiman(Garkuwan Matasan Arewa), wishes to once again draw the attention of all Nigerians to the worsening state of the nation's healthcare system and the urgent need for decisive government intervention.
For several months, the National Executive Council (NEC) of NARD has demonstrated patience, maturity, and an unwavering commitment to industrial harmony. We have extended the Federal Government's ultimata on more than four occasions in good faith, hoping that our longstanding demands would receive the urgent attention they deserve.
Regrettably, many of the assurances made have remained unfulfilled, while critical issues affecting healthcare workers and the quality of healthcare delivery have been neglected, with no clear roadmap towards resolution.
Today, six (6) pressing issues continue to threaten the survival of Nigeria's healthcare system:
1. House Officers' Welfare: Persistent delays in salary payment, non-payment of salary arrears, and failure to regularize salary payments nationwide.
2. Assaults on Healthcare Workers: The continuous rise in attacks on healthcare professionals without a comprehensive government policy to prevent such incidents or ensure appropriate sanctions against perpetrators.
3. The LUTH Crisis: The denial of call meal entitlements, withdrawal of other welfare packages, and refusal by some consultants to endorse examination forms for eligible Resident Doctors.
4. Promotion Arrears: non-payment of promotion arrears owed to Medical Officers.
5. Salary Arrears: Failure to pay salary arrears in several institutions, including FUHS Otukpo, UUTH Uyo, OAUTHC ILE- IFE, FMC Owo, AEFUTHA Abakaliki, among others.
6. PAT Arrears: non-payment of 19 months PAT arrears owed to the entire healthcare workers.
These are not merely doctors' demands. They are fundamental issues that directly affect the morale, productivity, and retention of the healthcare workforce, ultimately impacting every Nigerian who depends on our hospitals for care.
Despite repeated dialogue and sustained engagement, the Government has failed to demonstrate the level of commitment required to resolve these longstanding concerns.
Consequently, after exhaustive deliberations, the National Executive Council of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has resolved to embark on a Total, Comprehensive, and Indefinite Nationwide Strike, commencing at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, 10th August, 2026, should these issues remain unresolved.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this action may cause Nigerians. However, we believe that preserving the integrity of Nigeria's healthcare system requires immediate and courageous action. A healthcare system cannot function effectively when those entrusted with saving lives are continually neglected.
We therefore call on all Nigerians, civil society organizations, professional bodies, and well-meaning stakeholders to lend their voices in urging the Federal Government to act swiftly and responsibly to avert this avoidable disruption of healthcare services.
To our esteemed members across the country, we appreciate your resilience, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication to patient care. We urge you to remain calm, united, disciplined, and resolute as we collectively pursue a better healthcare system for all.
The time for promises has passed. The time for action is now.
Yours Militantly
P-MUS of NARD

“The PFIPC DG that was arrested revealed a lot of things to me in confidence and I think it is time for me to post those things…..he told me how PFIPC got into the national budget with the help of some people in power..
“I am revealing everything now because it looks like they want him alone to take the fall, which doesn’t make sense. PRINCE ADENIYI MATTHEW didn’t act alone and l also want to say he is just a victim of a corrupt system that might have been going on for decades
“I am calling for the arrest of the DG of budget and also a deep investigation of the entire budgeting office. This matter should not end with ADENIYI Matthew taking the fall alone.
“To the chief of staff of the president Femi Gbaja I can see that you already sued Mr ADENIYI Matthew for 15 billion naira for involving your name in all of this, I know how you feel, understand what it means being accused, however, it is very clear that Mr ADENIYI Matthew was used by some of your colleagues in Asiwaju’s government. You cannot sue him alone, he just mentioned the DG of budget.
“The DG of budgeting should be made to resign immediately. The secretary general of the federation needs to resign as well not just to resign they all have to be prosecuted.
“The staff of both offices should also be prosecuted. Whoever is in charge of those offices in the federal secretariat where Mr ADENIYI Matthew has his office should also resign and be prosecuted.
“MR ADENIYI didn’t get that far on his own, the system is very rotten and if we really want this country to grow we must demand real accountability not political influences accountability.“
