I've been saying this whole time, CW did not prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt.

Kevin Reddington referencing The Shining in his closing argument was genuinely 10/10 advocacy.

Whether you love the comparison or hate it, almost everyone immediately knows the image he’s invoking. You don’t have to explain it. People have seen Jack’s descent into madness a hundred times in clips, memes, Halloween costumes, and pop culture.

He took something incredibly complicated and clinical and gave the jury a picture they could instantly understand visualize and remember.

Good closing arguments don’t just give jurors information. They give them something they can see in their minds after they leave the courtroom.

And I guarantee you nobody on that jury is forgetting The Shining reference during deliberations. Just objectively good lawyering regardless of your feelings.

A defense attorney reading parts of the PROSECUTION'S opening statement back to THEIR OWN WITNESS.

That was a bold move.

And the witness's response is exactly why so many of us are questioning the prosecution's credibility in this case.

What?? It comes out at the last minute that the Commonwealth’s key point/motive/evidence is that Lindsay Clancy was suffering so severely and loved her kids so much that she she needed them with her when she took her own life? After spending the last 18 days claiming that Clancy was a selfish, controlling mother who only wanted to exercise and didn’t want to work and was pissed she didn’t have a nanny anymore so she faked seeing unicorns in the corner and pretended to kill herself?? Maybe if they went with that theory from the start rather than being total assholes, they wouldn’t be the most hated lawyers in America. Well that and not wearing that goddamn hair bow…

Women empathize with Lindsay Clancy not because they want to "excuse" the triple homicide of her small children -- that's ridiculous -- but because she was overwhelmed and literally begging for help, telling her husband/mother/etc. she was having intrusive thoughts of harming the children, received woefully inadequate treatment that only made things worse, her mental state deteriorated even further, the tragedy happened, and now the state wants to prosecute her for *first-degree murder* -- as though she's Jeffrey Dahmer or something. Which is also ridiculous

The conversation about women’s mental health shouldn’t end with it.

Whatever verdict you believe is appropriate, this case has exposed difficult questions about postpartum mental health, psychiatric care, medication management, warning signs and what happens when someone repeatedly says they need help.

When the cameras leave Plymouth, I hope THAT conversation continues.

For a “premeditated murder,” Lindsay Clancy’s plan was pretty horribly planned out.

Lindsay was a nurse. She isn’t dumb, but we’re supposed to believe she thought ~45 minutes would be enough time to strangle 3 small children to death, drug herself, cut herself (the wrong way, mind you) and completely bleed out?

WHY give herself such a small window of time to do all of that?

And you mean to tell me a mother would STILL make dinner KNOWING she was going to kill the kids soon?

WHAT mother is going to make dinner when it really isn’t necessary?

And you mean to tell me she went to the trouble of building a snowman with her kids the same day she planned to kill the kids?

Building a snowman is only fun for kids. No way is she going to waste the time to bring her children a joyful memory when she knows they won’t be around later to remember it.

And you mean to tell me she wasted her energy and time to take her kids to the doctor on the same day she was going to murder everyone? AND call CVS?

WHY torture yourself by going to the pediatrician AND calling a pharmacy where you probably have to sit on hold IF the day is going to end in suicide/homicide?

To believe this was premeditated, you’d have to believe Lindsay is a complete moron with no critical thinking skills whatsoever.
