Many media like Disney have subtle stereotypes and misrepresentations. But Children and sometimes parents do not understand the subtle meanings. To solve this problem, we should educate parents and children of critical analysis of media #Lesson12
Having an identity online is a big risk for identity theft and loss of privacy. One way to reduce this risk is to decrease the personal information we post online. That will expose less info of ours to others. Also we will have better control over our personal details #Lesson12
Thanks to this class I understood how Twitter can be beneficial to education curriculum. I don't have an twitter account and this was a eye-opening experience. Twitter should promote this service among schools/students #Lesson12
@JillianToy Yes at that age, they learn from their environment and since the dig. world is also an envir. , it is concerning. Children should be taught about the type of encounters they could have online and how to face them, and the pages/role models they can follow for the better #Lesson12

I enjoyed this class & learned a lot about the digital world. It taught me about the learning process, pros cons of soc media, elements of dig world that I never considered before, and diff environments. I think more students should take this class, mainly in HS/College #Lesson12
The digital world allowed us to understand some of the secret plans of gov't like the ones Julian Assange revealed in his website. Such revelations would be impossible in the old era, therefore the digital age is very beneficial to the citizens of a country #Lesson12

@MariaStellaCar3 True, even today many of them have subtle message of violence/ objectifications of men/women. but the music videos are more attractive than the songs, which is why people listen to some songs more than others. #Lesson12
