Jared McCain on the hard fouls at the end of the game:
“Yeah that was crazy I didn’t expect it…we were at the free throw line and I was like ‘why’d you do that man’… and he was like ‘I got another one for you too’” 😭💀
Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed.
Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.
I am co-sponsoring the @RashidaTlaib-led resolution recognizing the ongoing Nakba, the erasure and dispossession of the Palestinian people who currently face a brutal occupation.
Khamis Ayyad, an American citizen and longtime Cicero resident, was killed during an attack on his home in the occupied West Bank. He was trying to put out a fire set by Israeli settlers. I join his family in urging a full U.S. investigation into the incident and demand the accountability of those involved.
The keys to The Church of the Holy Sepulchre (one of Christianity’s holiest sites) have been held by Palestinian Muslims for roughly 800 years. They wake up at 4am to open the church and come back to close it.
Meanwhile, jews spit on Christians.
How are synagogues in New York allowed to fundraise money for thermal imaging drones for settler militias in the West Bank?
Genuinely how the hell is this legal?
Tony Aguilar is a retired Special Forces Green Beret who won a Purple Heart for his service to this country.
He took a contract helping to distribute aid in Gaza.
There, he witnessed atrocities committed using American taxpayer dollars.
Please watch this important video.
Today, Los Angeles and the Bay Area will see 130 flights in both directions, equivalent to a plane departing every 6.5 minutes for 18 hours a day. Hard to argue it's not a perfect candidate for fast trains.
Tonight, I voted in favor of blocking the Trump Administration from sending more weapons to Israel.
Enough is enough.
I’ve long pressed the Netanyahu Administration in public and private to take substantive steps to alleviate the suffering of innocent civilians. But conditions on the ground are getting worse, not better.
Israel’s unacceptable choice to restrict humanitarian and food aid from entering Gaza—for months—is now causing innocent civilians, including young children, to starve to death. Ending this famine is not only a moral imperative, it is also in the best interests of both Israel’s and our own country’s long-term national security.
While I have always supported Israel’s right to defend itself and protect the Israeli people, these dire circumstances must end.
My votes tonight reflect my deep frustration with the Netanyahu government’s abject failure to address humanitarian needs in Gaza and send a message to the Trump Administration that it must change course if it wants to help end this devastating war.
