@v8oholic It seemed to be with some other AMG prototype and test stuff when I was there last Thursday too. Although on that day it didn't even have a rear plate, so I would hazard a guess that the white one is a makeshift plate.
@CrackedW_Screen @markchristie@ChrisThinkbiker Let’s just say I’ve used the “other” answers to go to town with my views on that form. So utterly biased and leading questions.
@lynn_global@WelshGovernment Well since speeds have been creeping back up, as documented in that report, your behaviour change nudges are obviously not as good as you think…
@ChrisThinkbiker Secondly, anecdotally I’m seeing faster peaks on some roads that are 20 (perceived as minimal chance of enforcement but also design/risk profile were fine at 30 or 40 as before). Also the impact on surrounding roads not factored in, as people look to make up time…
@ChrisThinkbiker This, completely. Two further thoughts (amongst many): the new quotes are based on data from a typically busy pre-Christmas week, and with journeys being made in the dark compared to Sept. I except that creeping up to continue (already 6% up in one place in 3 months).
@Amanwy The report shows speeds on the sample 20mph segments are up slightly from those 1 week after the change. Despite this being the busy December pre-Christmas period, and a time range that would cover hours of darkness compared to Sept. Behaviour nudges not working Lee?
@markchristie That’s a shocker. And based on the Welsh trial data it implies something proven to be false - air pollution at 20 was slightly higher than 30, or no material difference in their language.
@SpiritofJD@RhonddaBryant @Amanwy Or a poor attempt at deflection from the absolute state of Welsh services and transport under a Labour government, masquerading as investigative journalism by owned media, apaz
@WillHayCardiff You’d think a self proclaimed investigative journalist would notice the largest such group on Facebook, wouldn’t you? You know, the group that has more members than all of the ones he lists combined and then multiplied.
@SurreyRS The best part of this is (what appears to be) almost faultless driving from everyone else at the junction, not least the Ford Galaxy following those cyclists at a good distance, and the slow pulling away of that Volvo. Only the lane position of the Touareg is off. Drivers, hey?
@20splentyforus@BBCWalesNews There was already a 13% shortage of bus drivers in Wales (2022); asking drivers to face angry and frustrated passengers due to delays and impacts on service is hardly going to help fill that void of professional drivers is it (see TfL for an example).
@Amanwy @DeansOfCardiff Since you like to quote psychology terms, here’s what this is (being kind):
Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a group of people in which the desire for harmony/conformity in the group results in an irrational or dysfunctional decision-making outcome.
@bluegarnedd @Amanwy @Phil_PJA @WelshLabour@WelshGovernment The words “extremely unlikely” imply there is even a chance it would be. Supported no doubt by their friends at Agilysys.
@TomGiffard Quite right. And these are the two post recent recent posts on his X profile so it’s not even hidden. Independent, neutral review and scrutiny? The WG and Lee would never allow such things…
@Colin_Mad@keithwrjones Interestingly there’s a give way junction on a route I do regularly. Most treat it like a slip road due to the angle it joins the other road and because most go in the same direction as it joins. Despite new line markings I’ve never seen anyone else indicate left, if at all.
