Has SR West (D-12) been forgotten?
For 5 years, residents have endured a damaged road that is destroying vehicles and risking accidents. If funds for complete recarpeting are unavailable, immediate patchwork is the least taxpayer deserves.Sir @SohailAshrafGor Please act now

Margalla Hills of Taxila being chipped away bit by bit by stone crushers, destroying the natural ecosystem of the area. Where is the Environmental Protection Agency? Who is permitting this?
@CDAthecapital
Sir, @SohailAshrafGor
Most rain drain chambers & Nallah in D-12 and all drains on the Northern Strip of E-12 are blocked. Kindly arrange urgent cleaning before the monsoon to prevent damage to roads and streets.
Your kind intervention will be highly appreciated.

Please allocate one ambulance to D-12 to serve its residents, the newly developing sec C-13, C-14, C-15, C-16 & E-12, as well as adjoining rural areas.
Timely emergency response saves lives. D-12 deserves this essential service.
CDA to hold public hearing of 17 individuals for Covered Market on June 15.
Single-storey historic building built by CDA before leasing it to private person. Ideally, the same market under the original design prepared by a British architect should be restored, as it was a cultural heritage of the city. Allowing new bylaws will be sort of post-lease changes. Anyhow, if CDA is adamant in seeing a multi-storey shopping mall along the single Begum Sarfraz Road, which is already facing traffic congestion, the road should be dualised first,” said an official.

Last year the total agriculture income tax collected was less than Rs.10 billion and the tax collected on salaries was Rs. 606 billion...more than 50 times greater than agriculture income tax collection!!!
@AslamChaudhry3@Safecityibd@ICT_Police@MohsinnaqviC42@ccislamabad Effective “Smart City” crime control requires vigilant monitoring of vulnerable access points. Sector D-12 open from all sides and not adjoining any populated CDA sector, needs multiple high-resolution cameras along all four Service Roads for better security.

Urgent action needed: Streetlights at D-12 Markaz only family walking track/community cricket ground have been off for a week. Despite complaints, no action yet
This is the only evening walking space for families. Kindly restore lights immediately
In 2025, there was a flight between the UAE and Pakistan, on average, every 12 minutes. And by some estimates, at least 8 passengers on every flight from Dubai to Karachi were khepiyas. A khepiya, for those that have not heard the term before, is a professional luggage carrier.
These are the individuals who have over the years brought certain luxuries to upper middle class neighbourhoods in Pakistan by smuggling consumer products in their luggage. Most of these products come from Dubai. Expensive tech like iPads and MacBooks, perfumes, designer bags, cosmetics, skincare, chocolates and clothes are all available in Pakistan even if the brands that make them have no retail or distribution presence in the country. So much so that many upper-middle-class households no longer ask visiting expat relatives to bring them anything from abroad because “ab toh Pakistan mai sab milta hai”.
But over the past few years, and specifically the past few months, the vast network of khepiyas has been brought to its knees. Not because the authorities have gotten stricter, but simply because visa constraints with the UAE and the sudden fall in air traffic between Pakistan and the UAE is making business more difficult. Profit explores the khepiya network and the immediate, consumer level implications of the shift in Pakistan’s relationship with the UAE in this week’s cover story.

20 years of neglect. D-12 Markaz's original TST road is entirely broken, full of hazardous potholes. It’s no longer just a driving hassle it's a safety risk for pedestrians.
Residents deserve basic infrastructure. Urgent carpeting is required

@@SohailAshrafGor@CDAthecapital@dranamfatima One garbage trolley for an entire D-12 sub-sector is insufficient. Overflowing garbage is causing foul smell, unhygienic conditions & health risks.Request CDA to increase capacity to 3–4 trolleys per sub-sector with timely collection
@SohailAshrafGor@CDAthecapital
In D-12, there are no proper sector / road signboards, no traffic signboards, and no street line markings.
For a prime sector of Islamabad, this reflects poor planning and lack of civic attention. Immediate action is requested.

Thanks to Chairman CDA and Mr. Mudassar Khattak, Dir M&RM, for focusing on D-12 after many years.
The main issue of D-12 remains the stalled streetlights installation project. Residents hope work will now resume on priority.

No shopkeeper in D-12 Markaz has displayed the official price list. On asking, they claim no gov rate list is delivered here
Shopkeepers are charging arbitrary prices, and residents of D-12 feel completely neglected
Immediate action and monitoring are requested
