@TheJoeySwoll I often ask to do it if someone is just sitting playing on their phone on the equipment I wanna use. Good little nudge. Most times people seem surprised when I ask. Haven’t been shot down yet but I’ve only been back to the gym for 7 weeks after taking 11 yrs off. Whole new world
@PyjamaPurple@JayGenXer@GasPriceWizard East coast of Canada. We get lows of -30. -15 to -20 most of the winter. I know it’s not the deep freeze the prairies get. For the majority of Canadians cold weather Heatpumps will work for them. We had a few -25 days, it had no problem heating my house.
@JayGenXer@GasPriceWizard It’s already paid for itself in furnace oil savings. During the coldest months my power bill is 60$ more a month. So i basically heat my house in the winter for 60$ a month. Are they right for everyone in all parts of Canada? No. Can they save most people a pile of money? Yes
@JayGenXer@GasPriceWizard My heat pump is 2.5 yrs old. It’s cold weather rated. I installed it myself at a fraction of the cost of paying someone else. It was about 2500$ all in. It heats my house all winter. My furnace might get turned on a dozen times a yr for short periods on the coldest days
@Fred75343389@JayGenXer@GasPriceWizard Why would you buy a heat pump that’s not rated for cold weather if you plan to use it to heat in the winter? That’s just a stupid decision on your part.
@JohnLeePettim13 My heat pump has already paid for itself in two winters with furnace oil savings. It might not be for everyone but they can easily put money back in your pocket in the right situation. Your proposed situation isn’t one of those.
@ronmortgageguy Drone warfare has changed the way war will be waged from now on. Ukraine is the leader on this front at the moment. Any country still playing by the old playbook is walking a foolish line that will come with tough lessons. Hopefully Canada wakes up soon.
