To sensible people wondering what's happening in Nigeria. Here is the truth

1) An ex naval General bought a land allocated for recreational purposes and decided to build residential housing

2) He started construction without city permit or approval. Base on military power. I can do whatbi want.

3) when the city inspectors got to the property to question them and ask for documentation the ex General ordered a serving Naval officer to leave his duty post of protecting Nigeria from external threat to go and protect his personal property as Nigeria can be invaded for all he cares.

4) the Minister incharge of the city moved quickly to discharge his duties and rebuke abuse of power. The EX NAVAL GENERAL, COMMANDED A SERVIING NAVAL OFFICER, TO DISOBEY THE ORDER OF A SERVING MINISTER UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARM FORCES 😆.

5) ordinary Nigerians are happy about it because they dont like the man.

6) The current SERVING Minister of DEFENCE and THE WHOLE DEFENCE DEPARTMENT WAS PROUD THAT THEIR RETIRED GENERAL ORDERED A CURRENT SERVING OFFICER TO LEAVE HIS DUTY POST TO BECOME A PERSONAL SECURITY GUARD AND DISOBEY THE MINISTER CARRYING OUT THE ORDER OF THE CURRENT COMMANDER IN CHIEF.
Now we wonder why there was a coup and insecurity in Nigeria?

We are not serious in this country. If they explain Nigeria to you and you understand then you have a mental problem.

Gen. Babangida built a 12-km bridge without corrosion-proof underwater pillars 😭 now we pay every 3–5 years.

Engr. Dave Umahi , a ₦3.6 trn on the old bridge is a short-term patch dressed as a solution.

Better to build new bridge (cathodic-protected), for the long-term, and let the old bridge retire into a lighter-duty role where it can serve without bleeding the treasury every few years.
