One of the biggest mistakes buyers make is assuming the lowest rate quote is automatically the best mortgage.

I get why it happens.
The rate is the loudest number.
But buyers still need to compare the full picture: fees, points, lender credits, APR, cash to close, monthly payment, mortgage insurance, escrow, and how long they expect to keep the loan.

A quote should not just look good.
It should make sense.

The right mortgage strategy should be explainable in plain English, with the tradeoffs out in the open.
