I just got back from Big Cedar. My thoughts:
Paynes Valley: A
Buffalo Ridge: A
Ozark National: B+
Resort Amenities: C
Resort Food: C
Resort Service: D
Tip: if you care to play in 4 hours or less, tee off early. Pace of play was a nightmare.
@NateGearySports The same should be said about Beane and we haven’t even started yet. Unfortunately our schedule will shield it again this year but take Allen off our team and it is brutal in Buffalo.
@LouStagner Why do you think it’s fair to use arccos data that doesn’t take into account shanks, toe balls, low teed balls, 70% swings, driver off the deck, slice’s, hooks, etc? The medium number from in round uses of driver is not an accurate reflection of how far driving distance is.
@TrevorImmelman Golf is not a one size fits all sport. Some people may very well play better with the distraction of media and strategizing and leading. It’s impossible to know until he does it. He played pretty well in Atlanta with stressful phone calls on deck
@DarrenRabbi@Bellamouse1121@brydog7474 That’s on Thursday and Friday. And it’s still better than starting mid way through a loop. Most good architecture is designed in two loops.
@DarrenRabbi@brydog7474 It matters to some people. From an entertainment perspective people like a leader in the club house with a guy chasing that guy with a solidified score. The PGA ratings are 20x LIV so it obviously matters to some people. Waiting till 330 to tee off with a lead is entertaining
@Bellamouse1121@brydog7474 Also fairness aside, it takes away all the strategy and entertainment value of watching a golf tournament in order. Players make decisions on Sunday based on where they are relative to the field and the course.
@JoeMassocco@Mixtape_Matt That’s fair. But in match play he’s hitting aggressive par and bogey shots to try to tie holes cuz that’s all that matters. In stroke play it’s easier to save bogeys cuz your not playing a competitor in for par. So it all kinda evens out.
Since the AFC championship game, all we have accomplished is beating Mac Jones, Skylar Thompson and Mason Rudolph in the playoffs. We have the 2nd best player in football. Why is McDermott still here?
