ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಆಗ್ನೇಯ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಿಇಎನ್‌ (ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಕ್ರೈಂ) ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಇನ್ಸ್‌ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್‌ ಶ್ರೀ ರವಿ ಕೆ.ಬಿ. ಅವರು, ಸೈಬರ್‌ ಕ್ರೈಂ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೊಂದರ ತನಿಖೆಗಾಗಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದರು. ಭೋಪಾಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಇಂದೋರ್‌ಗೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಸ್‌ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಪ್ರಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಉರುಳಿಬಿದ್ದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುಃಖಕರ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಇನ್ಸ್‌ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್‌ ರವಿ ಕೆ.ಬಿ. ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸದ್ಗತಿ ದೊರಕಲಿ.
ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ, ಬಂಧು-ಮಿತ್ರರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಭರಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಗವಂತನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Bill Gates once said electric semis would “probably never” be practical.

In his August 2020 blog post he wrote:

“Even with big breakthroughs in battery technology, electric vehicles will probably never be a practical solution for things like 18-wheelers… Electricity works when you need to cover short distances, but we need a different solution for heavy, long-haul vehicles.”

According to Elon, during a later visit to the Gigafactory BG told him a long-range Semi was “impossible.” When Elon pointed out that Pepsi was already operating them, BG kept insisting it “doesn’t work.”

Bill Gates also shorted Tesla stock (a roughly ~$500 million position and by the time of that meeting he had lost about $1.5 billion on it). We don’t know if that short remains open today…

Today the Tesla Semi website is live with the production version:

• Up to 500 miles of range fully loaded
• Megacharger at up to 1.2 MW recovers ~60% of range in 30 minutes
• Cheaper to run than diesel (lower energy cost + far fewer parts) - can pay for itself within a typical ownership period
• Fleet software with live status, Trip Planner, remote support + OTA updates

Volume production is underway.

And today Einride placed the LARGEST public Tesla Semi order ever for 500 Tesla Semi trucks (serving Amazon and others), with first deliveries starting next month.

The future of trucking is clearly going electric!

In 1960, David Latimer planted a spiderwort sprout inside of a large glass jar, added a quarter pint of water, and then sealed it shut.

He opened the bottle for the first time only 12 years later, in 1972, to add some water and then sealed it for good.

The self-contained ecosystem flourished for more than 60 years as a perfectly balanced garden and self-sufficient ecosystem.

The bacteria in the compost ate the dead plants and broke down the oxygen released, turning it into carbon dioxide, essentially forming a microcosm of Earth.
