French President Emmanuel Macron pulls off what could be the greatest diplomatic troll of all time by getting Trump to sign the "$300 Billion US Surrender to Iran" deal in... Versailles. The ignoramus Trump will have been clueless as to the historical significance of the location
The WSJ wants to know "what happens when Europeans find out how poor they are."
I'm a European running a family office / living in Monaco. Let me run the numbers for Joseph Sternberg.
Spoiler: per-capita GDP is the most misleading stat in this entire debate.🧵
God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria
orban getting absolutely hammered, as expected, in hungary.
after 16 years of incompetence, mismanagement and europe’s most kleptocratic governance by a long margin…a historic win for the hungarian people.
Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
These are the words of the president of the United States, today.
The president speaks genocide. And so we too must speak. Not only about crimes, but about their legal punishment.

I've taught European history for 30 years. Americans have always asked me how the Holocaust was possible, how Germans could have enabled a madman reveling in mass murder to carry out his plans. Now we can see in real time how this is enabled; now we have front-row seats.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” -Trump

We are living in savage times, marked by a brutal regression in humanitarian and civilizational standards.
This regression is deepening in Western democracies, steadily eroding individual freedoms and freedom of speech
This is most evident in the banning of social media accounts, death threats, and the growing normalization of assassinating academics and political leaders in the international arena.
We will likely see this becoming even more common in future conflicts and international disagreements.
The whole Iran war is looking more and more like a gimmick to drop energy sanctions on Russia and pressure Europeans to do the same. A war to make Russia’s much larger war easier and possible to sustain.
People need to understand that it is a good thing if Trump threatens to leave NATO and says the US will not fight for Europe. The truth was the alliance was dead the moment he became president again. The US under him would never fight to defend Europe from Russia. Pretending otherwise was dangerous.
Incredible that we’ve gone from needing code-breaking geniuses to crack secret war plans, to the US President telling everyone exactly what he plans to do, every few hours on social media.
For the record, the president of the United States is now simultaneously claiming that he has won the war, is currently winning the war, needs help to win the war, and needs no help to win the war. All to destroy the nuclear program he claims to have already destroyed last year.
He took the greatest military force in world history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, and demanded that the media lie about this and everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone can mistake this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength. His weakness is something negative, gravitational, so deep that it can draw in a whole country. But only if we fail to see it. Only if we let it.
