For decades, Western companies invented battery technology and handed scale to China.
A small number are breaking that pattern — building real process capability here, at competitive economics. We built Sila to be one of them.

@k_sonin You should provide an important context so people can understand her bravery - she was calling pro-war putinists "f*cking animals" and wishing death to Putin by saying "I want to see ballet The Swan Lake on TV", which was shown during 90s every time Soviet leader died.
@ilyasu Richmond has a great art museum - Virginia Museum of Fuine Arts. Also check out Agecroft - 15th century Tudor Manor that was moved from England early20th century.
@McFaul Professor, didn’t “Soviets” build Уренгой — Помары — жгород pipeline to export gas to Western Europe? They desperately tried to join global economy. This is when Germany got first addicted to Russian gas.
@k_sonin@nytimes Correction: from Merriam-Webster: "obscure: not prominent or famous", not "unknown to anyone" as you interpret it (in Russian "мало известный" and not "никому неизвестный")
I want to thank whoever paid attention in @JoeBiden's administration and among those who advised it - for inclusion of Alexandra Skochilenko in today's exchange. Some of the Russian political prisoners that we released are opposition leaders or world-famous activists. Sasha Skochilenko is nobody - just a woman who was against the criminal war and wanted to do something. She wrote anti-war slogans on small pieces of paper and posted them in a local grocery store. Spent two years in prison, released today with six years to go. Those who thought about including her in the today's exchange, my gratitude.
Awesome story about my co-founder Gleb Yushin and his immigrant journey.
“If I immigrated later... I would not have had such a meaningful mission in life.”
Immigrants get the job done! 🇺🇸🔋🚀
