Hi. Please include community college representatives on panels about the future of education. More than 40% of undergrad students in the U.S. attend a #CommunityCollege & most (~56%) identify as a person of color. When CCs are left out, structural inequities are reinforced.
Just filled up my car and it was $87 for Premium Plus. Did it suck? Yes.
Am I going to vote Republican in November because of it? No. Because gas prices will level out, but an authoritarian government is forever.
Just a tiny reminder that “bad students” and “good students” don’t exist; they’re all students. In the same vein, “good writing” and “bad writing” don’t exist; it’s all writing.
@ihaveabug It also seems like when I moved to Ungrading, students are way more forthright about letting me know if work will be late, and when it was traditional, they wouldn’t talk to me about it at all.
Book bans because of race or sexuality don't just ban the book - they rob kids of their stories. And when somebody's story is stolen it means other people can't read it. If you're not mad somebody was silenced you should be mad that somebody took a story from you.
