Universities will need to make holistic judgements that take into account prior attainment and school references/assessment of potential. Otherwise, many top students will miss out on university places due to inflexible algorithms as opposed to personal performance.

The last day of school for our pupils dawns. Online learning replaces directed learning in the classroom. Assessments and predicted grades might be the route to GCSE and A Level success. Hard work lies ahead for all of us.
