Strengthening the Fight Against Gender-Based Violence in Kwara

I had the privilege of receiving the Co-Founder of the Africa Rise Right Initiative (ARRI), Ajibare Oluwasegun Gbemileke, alongside the Co-Founder and Executive Director, Jimoh Muhammed Bawa, during their visit to my office in Ilorin.

Their bold advocacy and the innovative ARRI reporting platform against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) are both commendable and timely.

At the Ministry of Youth Development, we believe that every young person, especially women and girls deserves to live in safety, dignity, and freedom from abuse. I reaffirmed our Ministry’s commitment to:
Supporting credible platforms that provide redress and empowerment for victims of violence.
Encouraging young people to speak up and take action against abuse.
Building on the strong foundation of youth engagement and social protection laid by this administration.

I also seized the opportunity to applaud His Excellency, Mallam @RealAARahman CON, for his unwavering stance against all forms of violence and his inclusive leadership that prioritizes gender equality, youth development, and the protection of vulnerable groups in our State.

Partnerships like this strengthen our collective resolve to end GBV in Kwara. Together, we will continue to create a safer and more inclusive environment for all.
