@ZaphodHarkonnen While it's a slightly different tack, have you seen any of Michael Alm's work with patterned plywood? Strictly decorative, rather than a large scale construction material, but very pretty.

Basically, yeah, it sounds like Twitter only has prod. Definitely sane and sensible work practices dating back at least a decade or so, from the sounds of it π
Twitter does not have separate development, test, staging, and production environments. At least 5,000 employees had privileged access to production systems.
@emperorx Usually it's abusing Spotify's algorithm for "Release Radar", which only seems to check for the name of the artist, and not the actual artist entity in their systems. So usually when you go to the artist's page the song isn't directly associated with them. This one is new to me!
@Ollytheninja I've started doing this recently as well. Like...
alias prj="cd ~/common/project/path; venv project-python-env; code ."
Legit super useful. Why'd it take me so long?
@nzpolice I appreciate that you're trying & have more important things to focus on, but could you please let your tech/comms people know that when someone selects "gender diverse" on their online 105 report, the acknowledgement email uses a gendered pronoun. My name would be fine
"[x is an upcoming language]... And someone has already called it a JavaScript killer."
Talk is cheap. I'm pretty sure someone has called a ham sandwich "a JavaScript killer", but I'm not going to believe it until a solid chunk of the market is hiring for ham sandwich developers.
@duckalini Garlic oil may still be okay for you, because it (theoretically) doesn't contain the sugars that the garlic mass has, while keeping the flavour. But like... Tests. Always tests.
@JackRhysider Yeah. That's pretty much my thinking. I still begrudgingly tend to mean towards using it out of convenience, even though I know other apps do it better.
Seeing as I can't vote for the Whenua Hou Diving Petrel in @Forest_and_Bird 's #BirdOfTheYear2020 , I guess I'll just have to vote for my second favourite...
