Trump’s Project 2025 would kill NOAA and privatize weather forecasting. I dunno, hurricanes are something I’d want to NOAA ‘bout.

@WAPolicyGreen Because it’s just not true. Check out comparisons on GasBuddy. Lowest in Vancouver 3.19 and in Portland 3.26. Some higher and some lower.
Seriously, political reporters are wrong in their myopic focus on fracking (only a top concern for 3% of PA voters)
*51% of energy jobs in PA are clean energy jobs
*Clean energy employs 8x more PA workers than gas industry
*Pennsylvanians WANT clean energy-incl 59% of GOP voters
Thank you, @seattletimes editorial board, for urging Washingtonians to vote #NoOn2117! There's so much at risk from I-2117, including Youth Ride Free, "a first-in-the-nation policy that’s growing a new generation of transit users." Read the full editorial: https://t.co/fZ0yenUoc3

For 6 million years, salmon have inhabited the Northwest. Their ancient story may be in its last act unless we act now, together.
That's why this work is so important:

@jacecraftmiller@USlightningclub@MWLightningClub@NELightningClub@MachEClub@Ford I have both a Lightning and a Model 3. While both are great vehicles the Ford is much better assembled with no rattles or squeaks after 46,000 miles. I can’t say the same about my Tesla. And, the Lightning just works so well as a truck with our OVRLND camper on the back.

Happy 2nd anniversary to the Inflation Reduction Act! And cheers to everyone who fought for years to realize this breakthrough thats producing new jobs and business growth, and lower energy costs and pollution, in a growing American clean energy economy.
This piece by WASHDOT Secretary Roger Millar is well worth a read and very effectively counters the false narrative presented by recent Seattle Times articles. State culvert barrier replacement is foundational to salmon recovery and enables other barrier removals to succeed.
For us, roadblocks are inconvenient. For fish, it can be deadly. We’re replacing too-small culverts under state roads to give fish better routes through the water. We’re making progress, but our court-directed work is just 1 piece of the puzzle.

Charley Royer was a champion for Seattle. A three-term mayor and lifelong civic leader, he helped Seattle become a national leader on sustainability and led transformative efforts to build more affordable housing. He’s part of the fabric of our city and will be greatly missed.
The 2023 State of the Sound shows that we’re making progress with Puget Sound recovery when we make direct change. For example, when we restore habitat in estuaries and floodplains. We need to do more. Read the call to action to learn more: https://t.co/yKl01XyyLP
6PPD-quinone, the byproduct of a chemical added to tires to keep them from breaking down, is lethal to coho salmon. People and organizations throughout the region are figuring out how to control 6PPD-quinone pollution and remove it from stormwater runoff. https://t.co/qepTz5cmQT
Good Job Philadelphia Inquirer.
Philadelphia Inquirer Editorial Board:
“To serve his country, Donald Trump should leave the race.”
"There was only one person at the debate who does not deserve to be running for president. The sooner Trump exits the stage, the better off the country will be."
If any newspaper is going to tell Biden to leave for being too old they need to also say that Trump should leave for being too old and a convicted felon.
@KimDrury2 Yes, a sad day for the nation and environmental protection. EPA and DOJ will defend current regs with references to statutory language but there will be much more litigation and lots of room for judicial mischief from judges not steeped in the science and nuances of the regs.
The Partnership's Science Panel, in its comments in the 2023 State of the Sound, emphasizes the need for urgent action in our effort to recover Puget Sound. "[I]nnovative new approaches to ecosystem recovery are no longer a luxury; they are a necessity." https://t.co/yKl01XyyLP
