@anon_opin A petrol powered engine gives a bike its character. And different engines have different characteristics. That is the beauty of a “proper” motorcycle
@Riley_AngelDog@Firetruck_125 We have a local main road that the speed limit varied from 50-70mph, I now has average speed cameras on it, as a result most people now drive at usually 35-40 mph, with no reduction in accidents.
Speed is not the biggest problem, poorly educated, dangerous driving is the problem
@BayuAksara64491@crash_motogp You’ve clearly completely missed the point of the TT. The TT is an amazing spectacle for all who attend, and an exhilarating rush for all who compete. No one is forced to attend or race. They do because they want too, they understand the risks, yet still ride anyway
@anon_opin Now how many of those bike fatalities caused by cars? 🤔 if anything I think more people should have a go at commuting on a motorbike. If nothing else, you’ll be a more observant car driver as a result.
@MCNnews Probably not, the “repairs” in our local area are more akin to hardcore fly tipping than repairs. The so called repairs have usually failed in only a couple of months, sometimes weeks. Until they start repairing properly, it’ll only get worse
@DreamDancer985 @Thor_Odinson@CNviolations My 4 year old would have had the sense to slow down in that situation, yes the car shouldn’t have cut across. But the cyclist should have backed off to avoid a collision.
Easily avoidable, both as bad as each other
@Fautlsavoirhein@matoxley I think it’s a little more desperate than that, many people have lost absolutely everything, they need support and help rebuilding their lives and communities. Not a race weekend. Yes financially it could benefit the area, but there are far more benefits to it not going ahead
@4pmtimefortea@_KNOWN_STUDIO_@PolitlcsUK@BBCNews So let someone with cognitive difficulties, dementia and maybe other issues that make driving dangerous continue driving? Because they can’t afford another way? Maybe think that over a little.
