Hey @SecRollins since the USDA oversees the Beef Checkoff program, which is supposed to market beef, and has collected over 1 billion dollars from the cattle ranchers since its inception in 1985, why is it that since that time beef per capita consumption is down 25% and nearly 50% of cattle ranchers have gone out of business?

It’s seems like if a private company had paid that much for marketing and had gotten such abysmal results, they would have been fired long ago!

What is the justification for keeping the administratively bloated and ineffective Checkoff as is? Seems like a massive overhaul is needed!

Over the last few months I've had a lot of messages from young men asking my thoughts on the election, voting, and Donald Trump. So this message is for them particularly - and I will do my best to keep this short.

"Are you voting?" "Are you voting Trump?"

I fly the Black Flag. I despise what our government has become. I have no political party. And I will continue to live my life accordingly - as a free man - regardless what any dickhead in a suit says.

That being said, I vote. And I think it is a dangerous step into complacency and apathy by not encouraging young men particularly to participate. The worst thing in the world we can tell ourselves is that somehow our actions do not matter. I myself, am living proof that this is untrue. And, if it turns out that your vote doesn't count and you have another election stolen - you should feel what that feels like and use it to move you forward.

If we are to restore the glory, justice, and beauty of the Western world, it requires strong, courageous, and dedicated men. Where we sit today is the result of generations being deceived and subverted. Evil doesn't stop working if you check out and pretend like you're going to take on the world by yourself.

So, vote. But understand that you will not vote your way out of this mess.

What do I mean? The same enthusiasm you gave to cast your vote once every four years for your favorite politician needs to be applied everyday to holding those people (and who they appoint) accountable to the things they promise to do. It means having that same enthusiasm for every local and primary election too. It means living your life at such a high standard that you bring the culture up with you. It means exercising your rights, ferociously. It means being involved locally - building a community of people with influence and exercising that influence to protect what we have and destroy those that have taken from as.

Again, to the young men. The future of this country depends on the amount you are willing to invest to protect the perimeter. The men before us have failed miserably and the truth is, it's going to be a long way back to restoring Western society. The burden is ours, but particularly yours.

We'll talk about that a lot more in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

But as far as this election goes, the choice is obvious. I'm not shy about criticizing Trump - I have for years. I also was among the speakers in the Million Maga March and J 5/6 at Liberty Plaza and DC, and dozens of other events. My sincere hope is that though he surrounds himself with people like Vance, Pompeo, Kusher, and the like, that people like Ron Paul and Thomas Massie will be able to make some progress in dismantling and scaling back the ever-growing (false) authority of our Federal government. Those people are going to need help, and its our responsibility to do so.

Wellll, this blew up. I was not trying to be overtly anti NCBA here or imply anything other than this…your average cattleman or consumer listening is going to wonder why generating information that could not only have an incredibly positive impact on lives but beef demand as well wasn’t a priority.

Regulatory concerns/ timing /funding / multi species benefiting without paying etc are all answers to this question.

Whether or not you or I like those answers is beside the point, I think we have seen some valid concerns from folks who know how these studies and their funding proposals work.

This all being said, I think if you have tried the carnivore diet for any amount of time you can attest that more research to legitimize what we have all felt and seen is needed. We can also all agree more effort needs to be put into unhooking ourselves from these large epidemiological studies that demonize protein and fat consumption without worrying about the rest of the diet.
