Artist get ideas from the world around them. Inspired by Astro Beats, a percussion performance by our talented 5th graders #madisonplace5, 1st and 2nd grade drew some aliens with a little guidance from @arthubforkids. So fun! #madisonplaceK5

Hi Maverick artists @MadisonPlaceK5 ! ❄️Hope you are staying warm and creating amazing things on these very cold snow days. ❄️ I’m staying busy crocheting. 🧶

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@HeatherL114 As an art teacher, I find this completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and extremely rude to the child!

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@srothschild1 That is the kicker... IF safety measures are in place. Distancing and consistent correct masking is not happening in full f2f schools. Kids and teachers are doing the best they can, but it doesn’t feel safe.

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@AngSuperPowers Elementary has not been able to distance for months

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@teachergoals That is my 14 year old🤦🏻‍♀️

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@gohamstergo I don’t remember them offering this to elementary teachers last fall when we went back full in person.

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@paradiddletap @PresidentPat Better yet, the knowledge you gain and the growth as human being. This should be enough! Points and pizza parties are part of the problem.

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@PresidentPat @Ms_TeachAlot I hate PBIS... there I said it!

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@dgonza316 @jarredamato Keep in mind, the numbers of cases schools are reporting are being monitored and reported BY THE SCHOOLS.

@Tbrad1980 @jarredamato Not saying this data is the same in your area, but this narrative is abundant where I am, but the facts are... suicides have actually decreased. https://t.co/1ZiXMUSLYF

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@Tbrad1980 @jarredamato Actually suicides are down where I teach. https://t.co/1ZiXMUSLYF

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@Ho8Go8L1N @srothschild1 Sure, but good luck getting special Ed fully funded.

[Ashley McClaskey @mcclaskey_art]

@ShanaVWhite @CovingtonEDU A wasted opportunity for sure!
