URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: I am in Moneta (near Roanoke), Virginia, to preach the 20th church anniversary of Troy Keaton and the Eastlake Community Church. The service was in a tent on campus, with close to 1,000 attendees. Ten minutes into the service, a sudden, severe weather event pulled the support poles out of the ground and blew the tent off. One of the elders of the church went to be with Jesus, and several others were seriously injured. Please pray for Pastor Troy, Eastlake Church, and this community - that the hope of our risen Savior would be theirs in abundance during this crisis.

@BaptistWomen The SBC didn't do anything of the sort. All that the messengers at the SBC annual meeting decided is who can be a part of and contribute to the fellowship.

If you want to disobey God and appoint women as pastors, the SBC has done nothing to stop you.

The idea that a church can "realign" itself with the Baptist Faith and Message (and more importantly, the Bible) merely by re-labeling its female pastors "ministers" shows just how entrenched the core of the egalitarian error is in the SBC.

I’m just learning that Church Answers has a $1,500 program that certifies female interim pastors.

Also, the website offers resources to “equip” women to be “pastors,” among other things.

These activities are directly at odds with Scripture and the BF&M.
