@BankXRP@moonpay@solana@litecoin Dude, it's weird. But not how you'd think.
It's weird because I've been making 589 AI music for about six months... And, on a whim, decided to release an album this morning.
It's processing, but will be available in about a week on the big platforms.
An open letter to @BIG_PARMENIDES the man who said he regrets not having kids.
It may not be too late.
And I don’t think being in your 40s automatically makes it unfair to a child. A child is not harmed by having an older father who loves deeply, shows up daily, and understands the gift he has been given. Many children would be blessed beyond words to have that.
The world sold a lot of people a lie that freedom means having no one depend on you. Then one day they wake up and realize that being needed by the right people is one of the deepest forms of meaning God gives us.
Children are not just another life choice. They are one of the greatest gifts from God. They pull love out of you that you did not know was there. They humble you, stretch you, exhaust you, heal you, and make your life bigger than your own desires.
No, it is not easy. Nothing that sacred is easy.
But if that ache is in your heart now, don’t treat it like a punishment. Maybe it is an invitation.
Some children are still waiting to be loved. Some future family may still be possible. Some doors are not closed just because they opened later than expected.
A child does not need a perfect father.
A child needs a present one.
a lot of people who think they’re smart (but in reality just naive) are asking me who “they” are.
well, “they” are the market makers, algos and other institutional big money who manipulate crypto prices to shake out retail.
then they buy back lower.
if you don’t believe crypto prices are manipulated, you are living in fantasy world.
1k retweets and i’ll make a post highlighting exactly how they do this.
just had a conversation with a Yield/Lending project building on XRP about Validators and the path to be considered for the XRPLF UNL.
1) Run a XRP validator first. If you have no history it's extremely unlikely to be added. Experiment, play around with it. Rippled is it's own beast sometimes.
2) Establish yourself as a validator. Participate in convos on amendments, network parameters fees/reserves and security. What's important to you and why?
3) Have network health and longevity in mind.
Allow yourself to disagree with others. Stand by your values. But don't do it for the sake of it though, this makes the conversation just bad.
4) Open a PR for the XRPLF UNL https://t.co/9prLlHSYqE if you believe you would make the list better. Try to follow the template of previous PRs to list all relevant information.
5) Common misconceptions. Just because you're not on the UNL of the XRPLF, doesn't mean you're less of a validator than the ones who are on it.
If we have 5 validators of equal quality in one place, adding a 6th from the same place doesn't make the XRPLF UNL better. Even if the 6th validator is equally an awesome community member, contributor and wizard.
Our all goal is just to use the UNL to make sure the network is always healthy and produces new blocks every 3-4 seconds. For this we try to compose the best list we can. Many factors like location, diversification, retail/enterprise and more should be considered for a robust list.
The UNL is not a judgment (!) of who's good or bad. Its merely A selection of good operators. The emphasis is on A selection.
There are many sets of validators someone can compose that are equally great, but we need to pick one and move on with it.
Thank you, David. I appreciate the clarification.
The UNL has been the hardest part to wrap my head around. And it's often cited as why "XrPL iS NoT DeCenTraLizeD" because "Ripple controls the UNL."
Clearly, Ripple does not control the UNL, but the default list "just works" so there isn't much incentive for participants to use a different list.
The most under-discussed story in XRP is the plumbing.
Two quarters. Five protocol upgrades. In parallel, several spot ETFs have gone live. CME futures crossed $1B in open interest. A Wall Street firm issued Moody’s-rated (P-1, 2024) debt on XRP. SocGen's digital euro came onto the ledger.
None of it trended, but all of it compounds.

@AverageJohnEVR I see that. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit well in the current homelab stack. Would be a nice weekend project. But, I think I'd need to reconfigure some things before getting it going.
What's the typical bandwidth usage per node?
@AverageJohnEVR Nice and light. The trouble comes in when attempting to tie it into the current homelab. Evernode does not play well sitting behind a shared reverse proxy because of how it handles its internal routing and SSL renewals.
