@DrVeronicaD Deployed on an US Navy aircraft carrier - the two types physicians: a family med doc and a surgeon (also an excellent CRNA and experiencd PAs)
@BBankheadMD During my R4 year, I fell asleep on exam table in my PCP’s office while waiting for her. Woke up 45 mins later when my phone rang. Lights were off. Confused, I burst out of the room, found my PCP. She said, “Looked to me like you needed to sleep, so I turned the lights off.”
@BenjaminTManyMD 10/10 recommend joining that group chat. It was SUPER helpful. I learned about it halfway through the season and was very grateful for its existence.
@jbcarmody@DGlaucomflecken Unfortunately, too often in med education and training, this is the plan when stuff goes wrong: blame the learners/applicants/whomever has least power. Example: more students than usual fail an exam. They all conspired and to study less. Certainly wasn’t a poorly written exam.
@katieisfunke Agree, Katie. Great piece. Gonna be a show in Tokyo! Sad Ms. Richardson won’t be competing but part of being at that level is knowing the rules and making choices accordingly. The Medium piece explains it well, I think. I hope she rebounds and returns to world class racing.
