Andrew Neil (@AFNeil) lambasts Labour Energy Secretary Ed Miliband's Net Zero zealotry - ‘madness on stilts’, obsessing over unreliable wind power, hiking bills 40%, risking blackouts, deindustrialising everything - the crazy ‘wrecking ball’ must be stopped before it destroys us.
🚨 Enough is enough 🚨
For the fourth time this year, residents across Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and Woodford have woken up to complete gridlock, people unable to get to work, families stranded, and zero information on when the chaos will end.
Meanwhile, developers circle Bramhall South & Woodford, and the Local Plan dumps 16% of Stockport’s entire housing target on our area for the next 15 years.
We deserve answers before they build a single extra house.
📣🗣️ Today I’m calling for a full public inquiry into the building and ongoing management of the A555 the most notorious, mismanaged, problem-ridden stretch of road in Greater Manchester.
Year after year, the council offers excuses. Year after year, nothing changes.
Before this council piles thousands more homes onto an already broken system while carving up our green belt we need the truth. Residents in Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and Woodford will not be ignored.
👉 Sign my petition today.
We need answers now, not after the damage is done.

🚨🚨 Lots happening around the Borough right now, but as always, if you want a chat about anything at all, I’m free and available this Saturday, 10-12pm at Bramhall Library. 🚨🚨
⛔️🌳 I have been pushing the council to publish their plan as a matter of urgency for some time,.
The longer we are without a local plan, the more our green belt is at risk
This intervention makes it clear the consequences of our Liberal Democrat run Council failing to take ownership of our local green spaces. 🌳🚨

⛔️🚦Back to work,Woodford Rd/A555 junction🚦⛔️ I’ve reported this to TfGM, light is twisted around and therefore causing issues for filter lane traffic.
TfGM will be put to fix asap
🚨🚧🅿️ Meadway West carpark, Bramhall 🅿️🚧🚨
Stockport Council will be carrying out surface repairs on Monday 28th April between 8am and 4:30pm weather permitting.
Unfortunately, to carry out this work it will be necessary to close the carpark. This is to minimise disruption and to allow safe working operations to take place.
Although some local disruption is inevitable this will be kept to a minimum by staff on site.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Thanks to @KemiBadenoch whose brilliant speech just now was the actual truth, not a new rewritten convenient version if it. She has been one of the most consistent supporters of feminists and women's sex-based rights, unlike any of those opposite now pretending to be.
🚨🪴Following the theft of the Bramhall in Bloom planters over the weekend, I have visited the business involved to work on how we can prevent this happening again.
I will now be working on getting the planters all tagged to make them easily traceable and I am working on a number of other actions to keep them more secure.
I am working directly with Mandy from Bramhall in Bloom and will keep you updated.
Thank you for the information so far to help us trace the missing planters 🪴🚨

🚛🌳 Green Bin Waste Update 🌳🚛
12 days ago I voted AGAINST introducing a tax/charge for the collection of Green bin waste across Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme and Woodford
As we draw close to the implementation date, I am worried that many residents have still not received any official written notification of intention from the council to charge an additional £59 per year for this service.
On the council’s online portal it clearly states that:-
“It may take up to 21 days for your permit to be delivered. Your garden waste will not start to be collected until your permit is stuck on the bin.”
My concern is that with only 19 days left before green waste will no longer be collected without the addition £59 charge, we still have residents who may be completely unaware of their requirement to have this permit.
Also, many residents will be unaware that it takes up to 21 days to receive your permit. This means that given the majority of Bramhall South & Woodford ward will have their first collection under the new system in 22 days from now, if you have not purchased your permit today you may not have your green waste bin emptied on Thursday 3rd April.
I have therefore written to the Deputy Leader of the Council who is responsible for waste and recycling, this morning.
I have attached a copy of the letter in which I ask for his urgent attention which you can read here -
🚨🅿️ Protect Bramhall High Street - Save Our car park 🅿️ 🚨
On Thursday, the council brought forward plans to make the Railway station car park in Bramhall a chargeable car park.
I feel it’s important to make clear how bad an idea this is.
Bramhall businesses are about to suffer the added pressure of the closure of the precinct car park for an extended period of up to 9 months, now is not the time to force shoppers off our high street elsewhere in and outside of the borough.Sign my petition and make your voice heard -

⚠️⚠️🚨Scam Alert🚨⚠️⚠️ I’m so sorry to be reporting this but I myself have just received a call. Scammers seem to be targeting SK postcodes following the floods.
If in doubt, hang up. Bramhall, Chedle Hulme and Woodford is full of brilliant local traders ready to help the community with work that’s needed 👍👍👍👍
🚨😢This is devastating, the real life consequence of the Councils failure to clean our grids & gullies.
I begged the council to clean them on Oct 1st, Nov 21st & Dec 5th, residents here reported this specific grid on Dec 6th🚨
