Great reminder that the U.S. actually spends quite a bit on primary care. Indeed, this is arguably the most lucrative market in the world for primary care.

We just get less care for each $, and exorbitant hospital/drug/specialist costs can make PCP spending look low in % terms.

And the total cost of delivery approaches $30k. A high patient bill for delivery is not an exception. It’s the rule. New parents shouldn’t have to face these out if pocket expenses. And we need to lower the total cost to make childbirth affordable /end. @CPR4healthcare
