It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning.
Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same.
Prayers to Diana and the family.
RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️

Here’s a statement from the family:

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.
With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family

250 years ago today.

The way the Bosnian coach picked up the ball and yelled at the official brought some real 9U girls’ soccer angry dad energy.

INCREDIBLE EFFORT

“Stability is great until it’s just code for mediocrity. Legacy Pittsburgh fans know hard work, sacrifice, and results—Tomlin’s never had a losing season, sure, but he’s also never had a deep run in forever. Our grandparents didn’t get to ‘float’ through layoffs; why should the coach get a free pass for coasting?

RT to fire Franklin

[Cousin Sal @TheCousinSal]

Complete 180. Now James Franklin can’t beat the bottom ranked teams.

Ohio State-Notre Dame in the Natty. Congrats to both teams but also…

@POTUS Great to see you are awake. The nap at the funeral today must have done wonders. Any thoughts on helping North Carolina?

I'm announcing that the federal government will cover 100% of the cost of measures to protect lives and property in Southern California for six months.

I’ve told the Governor and officials to spare no expense and do whatever they need to contain the fires and protect families.

@PSUBarstool Awful. Luckily for him the only bigger loser is Franklin.

I never lost faith in Franklin’s ability to Franklin

@otter_ai Otter is unable to connect this morning. My network connection is perfect, but Otter can't connect, either hangs or produces err msgs. I can't access info I need for my mtg ASAP. What's going on?

[Stephen McGhee @mcgheesr]

@CVGairport Thanks for the great reception. Smart move to have more, quicker transportation for your Economy lot compared to Value. No line at Fast Park. I won’t be back.

Obviously the latest round of ESPN layoffs included the people who wiped the cameras off when it rains.
