It was always such a privilege to see Steve in action! I grew up watching every segment possible, looking up to him, knowing that I wanted to be a meteorologist just like him. He was one of my childhood idols, who was even more warm and genuine in person than he was on air!

@NSDwx I was on a run directly under where this crashed about 15 minutes before it crashed. Heard such a weird sound right around the time it crashed and didn’t think much of it till I saw it on the news. Crazy!
